Crysis is a game which I personally really like. Due to Crytek engine and innovative ideas such the nano suit, I can say this game brings a new level to the FPS games market.
I don't want to describe the story line here because it's not so important in my opinion. This game just made me play even the single player over and over again. There has been a lot of discussion about how many bugs there are in Crysis. Well yes, this game isn't perfect but I played it on hard difficulty, and found it to be challenging and fun.
The innovation of using nano suit is really great. And mostly the skills in this game are dependent on how good you can use it.
Sound effects are solid. Weapons, vehicles and other sounds are well done.
There are a good number of weapons: miniguns, pistols, LAWs, assault rifles, sub-machine guns, shotguns, sniper rifles, gauss rifles, an Alien energy-based mini-gun. Most of the weapons can be customized with silencers, scopes, laser light etc.
Vehicle sections are also very well done, they were smooth and easy to handle.
Multiplayer.
The sequel, Crysis Warhead, brought a multiplayer add-on, Crysis Wars, which added to Crysis multiplayer game modes Power Struggle and Instant Action a new mode - Team Instant Action (Team Deathmatch). The frame rate counts here, that's why most players comparing this to single player have to set their graphics details a little bit lower to stay competitive.
In conclusion the multiplayer is exciting enough for most fans. However, for those less impressed with Crysis, you will likely struggle to find your feet early on. But don't be tempted to give up, because once you get to know the in's and out's of Crysis Wars, there is a lot of fun to had here.
I personally gave up on struggling with low fps on my machine and hope that Crysis 2 will work fine on my ps3.
